Mid/Senior Software Engineer (Rust)

Golem Factory and its Mission

Golem Factory's mission is to democratize the world of computer power.By allowing people worldwide to pool their resources, we are challenging the cloud providers. We are creating a platform for running computations and hosting services in a globally decentralized way without risking political or commercial censorship. We are only at the beginning of this road to a revolution which makes it even more exciting.

Golem Factory has a community of >500 providers and is trying to make the market as scalable as possible and showcase the platform to attract excellent applications. So far, the platform is being used to look for the origins of life on Earth. We envision the platform to be able to host web3 dApps (distributed apps) -> the missing piece of web3 decentralization.

The Role
We're currently looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Core Team.

This team is building the backbone of the Golem Network, a highly complex and, in our opinion, quite enjoyable system. The main component is yagna, written purely in Rust. It is an entry point to Golem like, e.g., geth or erigon are entry points to the Ethereum network. The team consists of above-average skilled engineers solving complex problems in the decentralized systems area.

You would have much space for your ideas and research, doing innovations to improve yagna, our runtimes (QEMU-based light VM), networking (being currently reimplemented), scalability, reputation, security, and many other pieces that are at the core of the Golem Network. In many aspects, we tackle unique problems that no one has done before, which makes this role challenging and exciting.
