Syncra L3 Bridge smart-contract

Project

Syncra is working with the Golem team on the smart-contract design, audit support, and remediation for the Arkiv L3 Bridge, with a focus on bridging GLM value between an L2 (GLM as ERC20) and an L3 (GLM as native currency). The work covers aligning the bridge flow with OP Stack constraints, validating assumptions around how messages and withdrawals behave, and closing out audit findings so the bridge can be safely shipped and maintained.

Use Cases

The bridge supports a basic “in and out” flow for GLM: bring GLM into Layer 3 to interact with the ecosystem, and withdraw it back to Layer 2 when needed. Syncra’s work improves the safety and clarity of this experience, so users don’t run into unexpected behavior during transfers and developers can build on top of a dependable foundation.

Impact

A reliable bridge is a hard dependency for the Arkiv / L3 ecosystem: if bridging is confusing, unsafe, or inconsistent with the underlying stack, adoption stalls immediately. This work improves security (audit-driven fixes and re-checks), protocol correctness (clean separation of “mint” vs msg.value behavior where needed), and developer confidence (documented constraints and fewer footguns in the core flow).

Team & Background

Team Track Record

Syncra is a no-code, modular platform for launching and running DAOs from a single dashboard. You can set up membership, define governance rules and voting strategies, create proposals, and manage participation without writing code. A key differentiator is privacy/“secret” voting (built with zero-knowledge tech) to protect voters and reduce coercion.

Milestones

Received Funds:

Milestone 1: Scope and requirements alignment

Define the target bridge flow and constraints (L2 ↔ L3 GLM semantics, OP Stack assumptions, and the intended user journey), and confirm the delivery cadence and responsibilities across both teams.

Milestone 2: Code + documentation handoff

Provide implementation artifacts (code/readme) in shared repositories and walk the Golem team through the flow in a working demo so review can proceed with clear context.

Milestone 3: Audit review and technical clarifications

Work through auditor questions and findings, especially around bridge component intent and OP Stack compatibility gaps, and confirm which edge cases are acceptable vs which require design changes.

Milestone 4: Security remediation (M02) and re-check

Complete the fix for the “M02” issue (front-running around Golem token address setup) and coordinate with the auditors for re-validation so the final report can be produced.

Milestone 5: Wrap-up and next-step coordination

Close remaining deliverables, finalize documentation notes for future bridge revisions, and align on follow-up items that were discussed during the engagement (for example, later work such as stablecoin support planning, once core infra priorities allow).
